The Misplaced Comma

And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”…Jesus did not ascend into heaven on the same day He died. He rose on the third day and still didn’t ascend to heaven. The verse “And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”…therefore has a misplaced comma. We are not to change the wording, but the comma should be after the word “today” instead of after the word “you.”….only then are we able to understand in Truth what Jesus said to the thief on the cross. Therefore it should be read as “And Jesus replied, “I assure you today, you will be with me in paradise.”
