To truly cast out a demon, you must cast out it’s doctrine. Demons take possession of a person’s mind through doctrines. Doctrines are sets of instructions given through the misuse and misinterpretation of God’s Word. The only way to cast it out to make the demon listen to you, is to change the mind of the person it possesses. If you cannot do that, then you do not have the Truth to cast it out. That is because Satan cannot cast out Satan. Satan is a father, but is the father of lies. A lie will run when the Truth is revealed.
1 Timothy: 4:1 Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons,2influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron
Who teaches doctrines of demons? False teachers or teachers who do not teach you how to discern the Truth using the Sword of The Will of God. The Sword is the Word which is able to divide the Truth from the lie and cuts down to the marrow of your soul, of why you serve whom or Whom you serve.

Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.
God calls the false preachers themselves demons. The disciples were joyous when they said that even demons were subject to them. This means that those preachers preaching falsehoods, could not help but acknowledge that they had the Truth and spoke it correctly. In other words they spoke as though God were saying it Himself.
How do you cast a demon out of your mind? By asking God to cleanse your motives of why you serve Him in the first place if at all. You must pray and ask earnestly and God will respond quickly if your motives are sincere. This is why He wants you to have a new mind. To get a new mind, means to repent. We are all born evil. When someone has the Truth, the lie will automatically reveal itself. No one will have to tell you.
Is your life in a mess? Are you not getting what you pray for? Then perhaps you need some demons cast out. Maybe just maybe some of you have Legion (a multitude of false doctrines) that needs to be cast out, so that you can be restored to a right mind.
